Telmo Gonçalves
Co-founder
Telmo is really curious, since he was a kid he always loved computers and technology. At the age of 20 he began his tech career by working as a freelancer for some small projects and immediately his natural simplistic design talent came up.
On May 2008 he and Carlos co-founded 9Tree, since then he's been responsible for the gorgeous looks of our applications, while also coding.
Telmo likes to wake up early and stop by the gym before going to work.

Carlos Ouro
Co-founder
Carlos studied applied physics at IST and whilst in college he started working as a Developer for Waveweb at Siemens Portugal. One year later he became Senior Developer and since May 2008 he co-founded 9Tree where he currently watches over our development labs.
Carlos drives on challenges, he knocks most of the hard development, develops open source libraries and provides training to our newest developers.
If he's focused on working on something exciting don't try talking with him, he probably won't notice you. He's "in the zone".

Ricardo Ferreira
Senior Developer
Ricardo studied at Rumos in 2004, but started to mess around with computers way before that, in 2000. After studied at Rumos, he went to WaveWeb as a Developer for Siemens Portugal where he stayed for 2 years. In WaveWeb Ricardo did some very cool things, from developer to sysadmin.
In 2009 he started a new journey at DIB Consulting as a consultor in SugarCRM and mobile integration with PHC.
Now, Ricardo joined us to help in the amazing development we do.

Daniela Tristão
Administrative and Finance
Daniela handles 9Tree's billing and finance.
She keeps everything on track by making sure all is in order, everyone is organized and deadlines are met.
More often than not, Daniela provides a much necessary "outside look" into our projects, with a deadly eye for simple details that coders sometimes miss.

9Tree is a software development company working in Portual and United Kingdom. We work with a number of cutting edge technologies to create the best software products, be it web, mobile or desktop applications.
We sell developers expertise by the hour
9Tree works exclusively with a "pay-as-you-go" interface, allowing top transparency and flexibility where the client has full access to the management of his pre-paid hours, no matter what's the task. Why? Because from our experience of developing software project with set boundaries (features/cost/time) is highly overpaid for.
This happens because the project manager tries to account expected feature/design changes along the way as well as Murphy's Law on software development.
And if the client would step out of these boundaries, the project would stop and the client would be extra charged.
Thus we've opted for another solution: we sell you our expertise in time and you decide where you want your time spent. This makes it fair and less expensive for the client, and keeps our business as transparent as possible.
Of course, we still budget and estimate projects and functionalities but you are now free to change anything anytime during the project, or even divert your paid time to another project or different tasks.
In order to keep transparency to its best, the client has full access to live timesheets where they can see how their time is spent in perfect detail.

9Tree was founded in 2008 by Carlos and Telmo and built on their concept to create a great work environment and doing what they love: coding and designing great applications. Our internal pledge is to keep pushing ourselves and keep creating and deploying the newest technologies.
Everyone at 9Tree loves a good challenge and will wrap their minds around it until the best possible solution is found.
